Day 1 & 2

Nairobi

Arrive at the international airport in the evening and travel by road to Nairobi for a well-earned night’s sleep. The next day you will meet us for the safari briefing and to answer all your questions. The lodge has a nice garden and swimming pool with sunbeds. Many other activities are organized by the lodge, but perhaps relaxing at the pool is also a very good way to start your holiday.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Wildebeest Eco Camp incl. bed and breakfast

Day 3 & 4

Samburu Game Reserve

Depart from Nairobi and drive in northern direction through agricultural farmlands en-route to Samburu Game Reserve – a haven of beauty and peace in semi-arid land, rugged landscape and majestic surroundings. One of our favorite parks!

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives searching for the animals that make this reserve so unique; the long-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe and grevy’s zebra.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Samburu Intrepids Camp incl. full board

Day 5

Nanyuki

Leave Samburu with a game drive en-route to Nanyuki. The afternoon has no planned activities, but we suggest to go for lunch at Trout Tree Restaurant or a visit to Mt. Kenya Wildlife Orphanage Animal Orphanage.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Soames Hotel incl. bed and breakfast

Day 6

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

The next day visit the nearby Ol Pejeta Conservancy for a full day game drive (with picnic lunch). This private wildlife conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. The reserve also hosts all the other members of the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, lion, buffalo and leopard).

Accommodation the same as yesterday at Soames Hotel incl. bed and breakfast

Day 7

Lake Naivasha

Continue your safari via Nyahururu with a stopover at Thomson’s Falls en-route to Lake Naivasha. This fresh water lake is one of the Great Rift Valley’s jewels, reflecting the tranquil beauty of an African sky and the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon a 1-hour boat ride is planned. This a good way to explore the lake with unique chances of seeing hippos and different species of birds.

Accommodation: 1 night at Wileli House incl. full board

Day 8 & 9

Amboseli

Leave Naivasha, pass Nairobi and see the landscape changing into typical African savanna country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen and their cattle.

The following day go on an extensive game drive in the Amboseli National Park. This is one of Kenya’s most popular parks and on a clear day, you can even see the top of Africa’s highest peak Mount Kilimanjaro.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Zebra Plains Amboseli Camp incl. full board

Day 10

Arusha

This morning visit a local Maasai village, learn more about this tribe and take a look at a real manyatta. Continue the safari into Tanzania – via the Namanga border crossing – to spend the night in Arusha.

Accommodation: 1 night at Ilburo Safari Lodge incl. bed and breakfast

Day 11

Tarangire National Park

Leave Arusha and go on extensive game drives in the beautiful Tarangire National Park. With 550 different bird species this park is a must (birders) paradise for ornithologists too. It is also well known for its big herds of elephants and buffalos.

Accommodation: 1 night at Tarangire Simba Lodge incl. full board

Day 12 & 13

Serengeti National Park

The journey continues to the Serengeti National Park, well known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities. The park has a lot to offer and – depending on the time of year you visit the park – you may even have the exciting opportunity to spot the annual migration of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles. Definitely one of the highlights of this private safari tour.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Mbugani Camp incl. full board

Day 14 & 15

Ngorongoro Crater and surroundings

Leave the Serengeti with a game drive en-route to one of the most special places on this planet: The Ngorongoro Crater. In the crater, the diversity in animals and flora is immense. All the animals of the “Big Five” (elephant, black rhino, buffaloes, leopard and the lion) can be found in the crater.

On the last safari day, you are free to undertake additional activities offered by the lodge. Later on, you will be transferred to the international airport.

Accommodation: 1 night at Marera Valley Lodge incl. full board
