Beach Accommodation Kenya – Manda Bay
Discover the untouched and secluded paradise of Manda Bay on Manda Bay Island in the Lamu archipelago. It’s a genuine barefoot luxury experience that combines both bush and beach environments, featuring coconut palms, Acacia Tortiles trees, and opportunities to spot wildlife like the Galago bushbaby, civet cat, hyena, dik-dik, buffalo, and other animals on this private island.
The lodge offers a beautiful swimming pool, a beach and sea-view bar, a gift shop, a small library, a yoga/exercise room, and a charming restaurant. Access to the lodge is restricted to in-house guests only, ensuring an exclusive stay.
Manda Bay provides a range of accommodation options, including 11 beachfront rooms, 5 palm rooms, and 6 garden rooms. All beachfront rooms have direct access to the stunning beach and offer spacious, open living spaces where you can feel the beach breeze. Palm rooms, nestled a bit farther back among coconut palm trees, provide a cool and airy retreat. Both room types offer plenty of privacy and excellent views, making you feel like you’re living right on the beach. Garden rooms, while smaller and closer together, were originally designed for teenagers but have become popular with budget-conscious travelers.
The lodge offers various activities, including the unique experience of a game drive to spot a variety of animals, with rare chances to see a leopard. Manda Bay provides a range of boat activities, such as waterskiing, inflatable tube rides, and banana rides. You can also take advantage of the two laser sailboats and go on a snorkeling trip.
