Day 1 & 2

Arusha and surroundings

Arrive at the international airport in the evening and travel by road to Arusha for a well-earned night’s sleep. The next day a visit is made to Ilkiding’a, a village at the foot of Mount Meru. Take a walk along the school, the Sembeo boma, agricultural fields where local vegetables are grown and pass a small coffee plantation. End this half day tour with a local (vegetarian) lunch.

Accommodation: 3 nights at Ilburo Safari Lodge incl. bed and breakfast

Day 3

Arusha National Park

Visit the Arusha National Park. In this small park – about 45 minutes’ drive from Arusha – you will go on foot looking for wildlife (2-3 hours) accompanied by a ranger. After a picnic lunch there is a game drive through the park. Still enough energy? You can opt for other activities to undertake, like horse riding or canoeing on Lake Momella.
Stay another night at Ilburo Safari Lodge incl. bed and breakfast

Day 4

Mto wa Mbu

Leave Arusha for a diverse cycling tour around Mto wa Mbu. On the mountain bike, you will make a 2-hour cycling tour on a flat area. During the tour, you will pass the local farmers, schools, churches and local bars. To top off this local experience, a Swahili lunch awaits you at a local restaurant. Finish this cultural day at a comfortable lodge with swimming pool.

Accommodation: 1 night at Kudu lodge incl. full board

Day 5 & 6

Serengeti National Park

Continue the safari to the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti together with Kenya’s Masai Mara form Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The park has a lot to offer and – depending on the time of year you visit the park – you may even have the exciting opportunity to spot the annual migration of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles. Definitely one of the highlights of this private safari tour.

Accommodation: 2 nights at ThornTree Camp by Bougainvillea incl. full board

Day 7

Ngorongoro crater

Leave the Serengeti with a game drive en-route to one of the most special places on this planet: The Ngorongoro Crater. In the crater, the diversity in animals and flora is immense. All the animals of the “Big Five” (elephant, black rhino, buffaloes, leopard and the lion) can be found in the crater.

Accommodation: 1 night at Isoitok Camp Manyara incl. full board

Day 8

West Kilimanjaro

At the end of this adventurous journey a special stay in the middle of the wilderness of the Maasai steppe; and with a great view on the Kilimanjaro, Africa‘s highest mountain. Behind it and until the border of Kenya there is the savanna, home to the Maasai people.

Accommodation: 2 nights at Africa Amini Maasai Lodge incl. full board

Day 9 & 10

West Kilimanjaro & airport

This is the right place to get to know them and their traditions and rituals. It‘s all about being together, traditions, stories and learn where you will meet up with the culture of the Maasai. On arrival, you will discuss which activities you can do there or just relax and enjoy the area!

On the last day, the lodge will bring you to the international airport.
