Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Morning/Afternoon
After a long flight you will be met by our guide/driver to check in at the hotel. An old farmhouse (1959) transformed into a beautiful lodge where you get the Out of Africa feeling.

Day 2

Arusha naar Ndutu in Serengeti Nationaal Park

Morning/Afternoon
Enjoy a scenic flight to Ndutu area in the southern part of the famous Serengeti eco-system. Meet the guide and enjoy an initial short game drive to the camp for lunch.
Afternoon
The accommodation is a small-scale mobile camp with 12 tents. The ultimate bush experience in the middle of the famous and impressive calving season.

Day 3

Ndutu area – Serengeti National Park

Morning/Afternoon
The calving season takes place in the months of January and February – depending on the rains. The green plains with abundant food in Ndutu area are the ideal place for the wildebeest to give birth. More than half a million wildebeest are born within a period of two to three weeks. Up to 8,000 wildebeest calves can be born in one day.

Day 4

Ndutu area – Serengeti National Park

Morning/Afternoon
Because so many calves are born in Ndutu, it is the perfect place for the animal kingdom's feline hunters. The game drives can be remarkable with hunting lions, cheetahs and other wildlife. Your guide will help you plan your days so you get the most out of the experience.

Day 5

Ndutu – Ngorongoro crater – Karatu

Morning/Afternoon
Take an early morning drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a full day game drive (with picnic lunch) in the crater, also known as the 7th Wonder of the World. It's the largest intact caldera in the world, where many animals live. The rich soil is a Valhalla for animals and plants alike.

Day 6

Lake Manyara National Park

Morning/Afternoon
Today's planning is a full-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch. Lake Manyara is an alkaline lake surrounded by forested areas and grasslands. A special feature here are the tree-climbing lions.
Afternoon
Rhotia Lodge offers unique accommodation located in captivating surroundings. The lodge supports several local projects, including an orphanage and a school that can be visited upon request.

Day 7

Karatu – Tarangire National Park

Morning/Afernoon
After breakfast, drive to the beautiful Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River. The park can be recognized by the beautiful baobab trees, sometimes up to 600 years old, and its many elephants.
Afternoon
Drive to the lodge in the afternoon. From the lodge you look out over the beautiful park. Relax and also inquire about the additional activities offered at this lodge.

Day 8

Tarangire to Arusha (JRO)

Morning/Afternoon
The last day of your safari has arrived. After breakfast, visit a Maasai boma and learn about their traditions and rituals. After lunch at the lodge, it is time to leave for the international airport and say goodbye to your guide.
